HERImpact DC
Learn from Successful Social Entrepreneurs

HERImpact DC is designed to help female social entrepreneurs scale their enterprises in order to increase their impact and long term sustainability. The program was initiated in the fall of 2018. The Initiative is comprised of an Entrepreneurship Summit, which is designed to build community and increase the capacity of female social entrepreneurs through advice from experts, online tools and networking. The Initiative also includes a Pitch Competition, designed to invest in early and growth stage companies in the region.

HERImpact DC Summit

Last year we kicked off the Initiative with a day long summit with over 150 attendees. Comprised of keynotes, panels and workshops, attendees learned about best practices in the social impact space, metrics and evaluation, financing and much more.

Join us this year on June 27th for the Second HERImpact DC Entrepreneurship Summit at Georgetown University McDonough School of Business, Hariri Building, Fisher Colloquium. Register to guarantee your place at this engaging and educational event.

HERImpact DC Pitch Competition

Statistics show that female entrepreneurs receive less than 1% of venture capital in this country and are more likely to be declined for a loan. The HERImpact DC Pitch Competition is designed to provide much needed capital and coaching to female social entrepreneurs in the region. Cash prizes up to $50,000 and in-kind support in excess of $100,000 are provided up to three winners representing emerging and growth social enterprises.

Join us this September for the Second HERImpact DC Pitch Competition.
